The Elocution Competition for students of Std. I to IV was successfully conducted on 28th November during school hours in their respective classrooms. The event aimed to encourage confidence, creativity, and clarity of expression among young learners. Students were given a maximum time limit of two minutes to present their speech. They were required to choose any one topic from the list provided. Std. I & II could choose from: My Favourite Sport, My Family, My Favourite Festival, and My School Picnic. Std. III & IV had topics such as Importance of Technology in Education, My Role Model, My Dream, and Global Warming. All participants presented self-composed speeches in English, ensuring they delivered their content independently without reading from any paper. The judging criteria included command over speech, expressiveness, articulation, vocabulary, and voice modulation. To maintain fairness, teachers were shuffled across different standards for unbiased judging. Three winners were selected from each division. A date for enrolling participants names to the class teachers was given well in advance, ensuring smooth organisation of the event. Overall, the competition provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their speaking skills and boosted their confidence in public speaking.
